she reminds clients that sports themes are not just for boys.
"Don't girls play sports, too?" she asks. "Use these
ideas to create fantastic sports bedrooms for your daughters that will have a feminine touch."
A great theme most girls
will enjoy is a cheerleading theme, she said.
"Instead of dressers, line a wall with actual sports lockers," she said.
"You can have one locker for her makeup, with the inside of the door mirrored, another locker can hold school books and other
school items when not in use, and other lockers can hold sports equipment or hobby materials."
She suggested making
a bedside lamp with a light kit and a megaphone, and using rows of pom-poms in place of window valences.
Hermitt also
said girls may enjoy bedrooms themed for basketball, soccer, softball, or any sport they enjoy as well.
